Cohorted Beauty Box – September 2015 review

Hi Guys

First of all, apologies for the lack of posts and responses. I’m just back from the ultimate vay-cay in Mexico. It was absolutely incredible!! I’ll do a post on that very soon.. once I recover from the dreaded jet lag ):

Whilst I was away, the September Cohorted Beauty Box arrived and it’s absolutely ah-maz-ing! They have definitely upped their game once again and prove to deliver high quality desirable products. This month featured a lip liner, eye shadow palette and two shower gels from luxurious brands. With the box contents worth £71.50, the box price tag of £19.99 is definitely worth it.

The Balm – Nude Tude Eye Shadow Palette – £35

This amazing palette consists of 12 beautifully selected highly pigmented shadows. There’s a mixture of nudes as well as darker tones which will complement these shades. The shadow names are based on personalities, for example Sophisticated, Sleek and Sultry. The Balm is very similar to Benefit. High quality with shadows that will last all day and all night with minimal top ups throughout the day. The palette lasts for ages so “price per wear” makes this great value for money.

Nars – Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Walkyrie – £19

I absolutely love Nars products and had been eyeing up this lip pencil for ages so I was pleasantly surprised to find it in this month’s box. The shade is a dark coral/pink which is gorgeous. I use it to line my lips, making them look a lot fuller. I then fill in my lips with my Bobby Brown Soft Coral (shade 7) matt lip stick. If I spritz some make up setting spray over my face, the lip pencil lasts for a few hours before needing a top up.

Gucci – Premiere Shower Gel – £7.50

This smells delicious! The scent is floral, crisp and fresh. This lavish gel lathers well and leaves your skin feeling hydrated and silky smooth. The product size was 50ml which is the perfect size for weekends away.

Molton Brown – Seamoss Bath & Shower Gel – £10

Molton Brown is a luxurious go to product when you really want to splash out and treat yourself. It’s usually a great Christmas stocking filler. It has a revitalising formula which has an ozonic aroma and is infused with body boosting seaweed and horse chestnut extracts. It improves skin texture after continual use and is an excellent antidote to stress and fatigue. I thought the scent would actually be more suited to a male than female. This scent isn’t for me as I prefer the more floral, sweet girly fragrances. My boyfriend was very happy using it though (:

I think there may have been an additional item by The Balm – Put a Lid on it Eyelid Primer, however mine was missing from the box which is rather disappointing. Did anyone else have this issue?

Let me know whether you were lucky enough to get your hands on the September Cohorted box. Alternatively I’d love to hear your thoughts on the products that I received and whether you would recommend any others.  If you’d like to sign up, please click here

Until next time

Love Hayley xx
