Can you believe it’s the 1st of December… already?!
My favourite thing and what I was most excited about last month was of course the Nars Glossybox. It was a limited edition collaboration between one of the best make up brands and the first beauty box, Glossybox. Only 3000 were made, they sold out within 20 minutes and I was lucky enough to get my hands on two!! Don’t worry, I’m not one of these people who will be selling the second on Ebay to some poor soul. It is of course a Christmas present for my bestie (:
The box contains 5 items and are a collection of Nars best sellers. The sizes are really good. For example, the blush is the same size as a Nars eye shadow and the Multiple is just slightly smaller than full size. The colours all compliment each other leaving your skin gorgeous with a pretty glow.
The box looked like a giant Nars packaging box. It looked slick!
The box was £38 including postage, however the contents are worth around £90. Definitely great value for money as each product will last for months! (apart from the mascara, I’d say 2 weeks)
So what was in the box I hear you ask?!
The Multiple – £29
This is an iconic item from Nars with most beauty bloggers raving about it. It’s like a crayon which you dab across your cheek bones and brush in to give a shimmery warming contour. It’s easily buildable. One stroke will highlight, two will provide a pinkish glow and three will leave you with a heavy blush. The colour in the box was Orgasm which is a shimmery peachy pink.
Blush – £23
Again in the shade Orgasm, this works perfectly with the Multiple to achieve a natural looking flush. Applied on top of the Multiple, you will have a dewy highlighted contour to your cheeks. If you blend a little into your hair line, along your jaw and down your nose, it’ll work wonders in achieving a luminous glow.
Satin Lip Pencil – £19
This is in the shade Rikugien which is a dusty rose. It has a silky texture and glides effortlessly onto the lips. I use this as a lip liner however you can use it as a lipstick. It’s moisture rich and creamy leaving lips looking luscious and kissable.
Larger Than Life Long Wear Eyeliner – £19
In the shade Via Veneto, this is a rich black eyeliner which has a rich creamy texture. It glides on easy and is smudge proof. It will stay put for 12 hours. Cat eye flicks are easy to achieve with this pencil.
Audacious Mascara – £21
This rich intense black mascara will leave your lashes fuller, longer and lustrous. The brush has long and short bristles, and lengthening hooks to lift, curl and amplify your lashes.
I absolutely adore this box and think that Glossybox upped their stakes on this collaboration. They should definitely do more of these as sadly their monthly subscription boxes in my eyes went downhill.
Were you one of the lucky ones who managed to get their hands on one of these boxes? What’s your favourite Nars product? I’d love to hear your comments.
Until next time,
Love Hayley xx
