June 2016 Favourites

Hello Lovely People!

Hope you are all enjoying the first few days of July… one of the best months of the year as it means it’s my birthday and vacation month! (:

There were quite a few beauty items that I was loving during June and I may have splurged slightly on some designer items…. a Michael Kors backpack (click here for my previous post), a Tory Burch tote and a Marc Jacobs wallet.  But they were of course worth every penny and if you work hard, why not treat yourself every now and again… right?!

Here are a selected few items that I really enjoyed using, most of which are relatively new on the scene so please let me know if you have tried any and of course what items you were loving during June.

First up is my Marc Jacobs Recruit wallet.  It’s black, sophisticated and utterly gorgeous.  I was looking for a smaller wallet for my vacation that could hold both notes, a lot of coins and cards.  This wallet stuck out as it has a stud fastening to the card and note compartment and a zip for the coin compartment which is on the outer section.  I wanted to move away from the continental style wallets with the zip all the way around.  It’s quite difficult to locate this one however I purchased mine from Harvey Nichols here in London.  It was full price and £160.

You guys will know that I am obsessed with the brand Starskin as I have featured their products often in my blogs.  I swear by their fabric sheet masks and the serum that they’re soaked in is possibly THE best serum on the market! Starskin have recently launched their Detoxing Sea Kelp Leaf Cleansing Foam.  It comes in a re-sealable packet which is unique to any other product on the market.  It will cleanse the skin so well removing all traces of make up that you’re skin has a squeaky clean feeling (your skin really does squeak!!)  It smoothes and hydrates the skin, and works perfectly with my Clarisonic.  Apart from Sea Kelp, the product contains green caviar to brighten, rejuvenating jelly fish, softening sea cucumber and balancing licorice root.  An intriguing set of ingredients! This product is ah.maz.ing!! I purchased mine from Selfridges and it was £22.

Philip Kingsley launched a new volumising product for us girls with thin hair.  This is similar to the maximiser which really does add volume without weighing the hair down.  This is the Weather Proof Styling Froth which adds body and volume, shine and protects against environment and heat styling.  It’s nothing like a mouse which can be rather heavy and sticky.  This is a foam which is non sticky and I would say excellent for anyone with shorter than shoulder length hair.  This one retails at £22.

Have you ever wondered what the fragrance of the Victoria Secret Pink stores are? Well I found out and bought it! It’s actually a body mist however I’ve been using it as a room spray and also sprayed it in with drawers to scent my clothes.  The body mists in Pink don’t seem to have a name of the scent however if you’re wondering, it’s the bright pink bottle.  This retails at £22.

Estee Lauder is one of my go to beauty brands as I highly recommend their skin care and of course their double wear light foundation.  I wanted to try a nude liquid lipstick and came across this one, which is number 120 Extreme Nude.  It’s actually a slightly dark nude, a bit lighter than the Mac Whirl lipstick.  This lip product is long lasting and I think it would suit every skin tone.  I am very pale and it never makes me look gothic.  It’s a really pretty sophisticated hue and was £20.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post! Remember to let me know your thoughts on these items and anything you were loving during the month of June.

To all my US subscribers, Happy 4th of July!! Hope you have a great day of celebrations and enjoy the fireworks (: xx

Have a great week!

Love Hayley xx
