My Little Box February 2017 – Mountains

The February My Little Box has arrived and this month showcases a Wintery skiing and mountain theme.  I think I’m probably the only person who hasn’t tried a Winter sport however one day I would love to attempt skiing.  The scenery, the hot chocolates and the log cabins all look divine!

The box design is back to it’s ultra cute illustrations which is continued within the contents of the box.

When you open the box you are greated with a hand illustration and motivational quote.  Alongside this is the My Little Book containing an interesting factual read about mountains across the world and four soup recipes to keep you warm and cosy this month.  My particular favourite is the one for Thai Butternut Squash soup, yum!  MLB has also partnered with Stitch and Story offering subscribers 50 % off knitting materials.  They also include a free knitting pattern for a chunky ski snood complete with a sewing needle to get you started.

If you’re not familiar with MLB each month they include a selection of lifestyle and beauty items, which makes them stand out from the rest.  This month I am absolutely loving the contents.  First up with the lifestyle content are these navy sparkly socks which say “Cold” “Feet” on the ankles.  They’re really comfy socks keeping your tootsies nice and warm.

There is an adorable note book cut out in the shape of a mountain piste.  It has the Wintery illustration on the front and the note pages are ‘post-it’ style so you can stick these anywhere for little reminders.

The final item is a metal tin, similar size to a tin of Vaseline.  Inside contains a fabric embroidered broach which says ‘Coeur de Glace’ which translated to English reads Heart of Ice.  I had to google this one but it’s actually a song in the Disney film Frozen (Don’t judge, I’ve never seen it!)

The My Little Bag of beauty items this month has a ski print.  I love these cotton draw string bags as they’re so handy for travelling or storing jewellery, tights etc. I was very happy to receive the Benefit Pore Fessional primer.  It’s a travel sized edition and although it’s not a new discovery, it’s one of the best pore minimising primers out there.  A little goes along way and once applied to moisturised skin, it gives the perfect base for foundation.

The My Little Beauty item was a French Kiss lip balm.  Similar to the EOS lip balms, the format of this is in a ball shape which effectively allows you to apply all over your lips for precise application.  It’s easy to slot into your handbag and with a screw lid there’s no chance of it coming lose in your makeup bag.  The colour I received adds a nice rosy flush to your lips and is deeply moisturising and not sticky.  MLB products are really good and I would highly rate them.

Finally there was an Icy Magic Eye Contour Energiser from Polaar.  I’ve never heard of this brand however I was impressed with the packaging which gave it a more luxury feel to it.  It’s an invigorating roll on eye treatment that instantly hydrates and lifts dull puffy skin.  It is fortified with Siberian Ginseng that is a revitalising tonic and soothing gel.  Tetrapeptides visibly reduce oxidative stress and preserve skin elasticity.  The full sized version of this retails for £20.50 and is available in the UK from Look Fantastic.  I’m completely hooked.  I keep mine in the fridge for the extra coolness on application to the skin.  The perfect wake up call.

Once again My Little Box have came up trumps delivering a truly amazing box this month.  I have came across some new products which I’m loving, I have fashionable and cosy tootsies and Valentine ready lips.  I cannot wait to see what the futures months hold from MLB.  If you received this month’s box I’d love to know your thoughts and whether you received any different items.  Please leave a comment in the box below.
