March 2017 Favourites

As Spring beckons upon us, it’s time to wave goodbye to the Winter months.  March is always a very exciting month as it’s when brands tend to start launching their Spring edits and new innovative ideas.  I had so many favourites during the month that it was very difficult to narrow it done to only a handful.  Some of my favourites have been out for a while however these items were my go to items all month.

That said, the first item that I was overly excited by when I first saw it advertised was of course the Starskin 7 Second Morning Mask Pads – £27.  These are a 7-in-1 advanced skincare solution for those of us on the go as they are super quick and easy to use.  If you have ever tried the Starskin sheet masks then I’m sure like me you have been waiting for the brand to release something that focused purely on the serum as it really is ah-maz-ing!!  These dual sided pads are infused with the infamous serum resulting in instant results such as brighter dewy looking skin.  On the front side of the pad, it has gentle exfoliating beads to promote circulation, remove dead skin cells and refine pores.  The back contains the fermented serum concentrate to nourish and protect whilst moisturising deep into the skin.  These are the perfect way to start your day as they prep your skin for a perfect make up base and continue to nourish the skin throughout the day.  They’re easy to use as you insert your finger between the pad and spend 7 seconds on each side.  I’m a huge fan of Starskin so would definitely recommend these.

The second item is also from Starskin.  This is the new Magic Hour Foot Mask – £8.50.  This is an innovative and newly released item which is an exfoliating and nourishing foot mask that effectively removes dead hard skin and calluses without being overly harsh.  To be honest I actually thought that I had picked up the Walk of Fame mask so freaked out when a couple of days later, the skin on my feet began peeling off! The serum concentrate is different from the face masks as it contains a blend of 35 botanical ingredients such as Rooibos to soothe, Soybean to soften and Calendula to rejuvenate tired feet.  I would definitely recommend these to get your feet in shape for the summer and wearing sandals.  My feet have never felt so smooth and there’s no irritation, unlike when you go to a nail salon.

If you are on the search for a mascara that will lift your lashes whilst making them much fuller, then you have to try the L’Oreal Million Lashes Fatale Mascara – £9.99.  This mascara is truly fabulous! The brush is multi layered which loads each lash with an overdose of volume.  It has rich black pigments, doesn’t flake and lasts all day.  My lashes have never looked so good. Love this!

My favourite scent of all time is violet so when I discovered that Origins had launched their own sheet mask range inspired by flowers, I was overly excited to see a violet one.  The Flower Fusion Sheet Masks are affordable at only £5 and provide an instant boost of rose like radiance and dewy moisture.  Crafted with natural bamboo and formulated with pure flower extracts, this mask deeply nourishes the skin and smells beautiful.

In the process of looking for a new body moisturiser, I discovered the Molton Brown Body Lotion in the fragrance Violet and Vanilla – £25.  I believe this may be a limited edition scent however it smells incredible.  The consistency of the lotion moisturises effortlessly into the skin and leaves it feeling silky smooth, hydrated and smelling fabulous.  It has notes of freesia, orris, vanilla and violet.  A slightly indulgent splurge however it was worth every penny.

March was the month I decided to try the Too Faced Hangover Face Primer – £27 having heard so many bloggers raving about it.  I can definitely see why as it’s amazing.  It contains a unique blend of coconut water, probiotics and skin revivers which replenish the skins moisture levels.  It glides effortlessly and sinks deep into the skin. Pores look refined and you are left with the prefect base for your makeup.  I found that this made my make up stay put all day without the need to touch up whilst also providing a slight dewy healthy glow.  It’s also great for wearing alone as when I go to the gym I pop this on with a touch of mascara.  It provides instant results and will most definitely be a staple item in my beauty regime.

No 7, which is Boots own brand, is one of my fail safe beauty brands.  I love their skincare range as its kind to the skin and delivers results.  Last month they launched the Youthful Vitamin C Fresh Radiance Essence – £15.  This is a two week radiance treatment.  The serum is packed with vitamin C to revive tired and lifeless skin.  It has been proven to renew the skin’s natural radiance, even out skin tone and leave it feeling smoother.  Having too many late nights and early mornings, I was very excited to try this.  It sinks into the skin well and doesn’t have that odd sticky sensation like other serums do. I pop this one then apply my night cream and so far so good.  It’s been about a week into the treatment and already I can see that I’m looking much more awake.

Finally for some inspiration on healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle I picked up the Madeleine Shaw Ready Steady Glow Book.  This is packed with recipes ranging from easy to slightly more complicated to make, covering breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and smoothies.  All in all each dish should take around 30mins or so to make, which is perfect if you have a hectic life.  The book also contains a yoga workout plan.  I find it all very inspiring and my favourite dish which features in the book, although I have yet to attempt this one myself, is the tuna ceviche with avocado.  If you’re passing a book shop, pop in and have a flick through this book.  It will definitely leave you feeling motivated and inspired.

So that’s all of my March favourites. I hope you enjoyed reading this post.  Let me know which items you were loving last month and if there’s anything that you would recommend.

Remember to like and subscribe!

Love Hayley xx
